Tynk of Neverland Teaser Trailer (Indiegogo Campaign Launch)

Over the past months, one of the projects I've kind of been working kind of on and off is a teaser trailer for an independent film's Indiegogo campaign.

The title of the movie is "Tynk of Neverland". It's a darker, grittier reimagining of the Peter Pan story.

In it...
Peter Pan is no longer without his shadow. Within him resides a demon who threatens to physically manifest.
The Lost Boys play along to the Pan's whims, living with dread of his sinister purpose for them.
Tynk, a conflicted fairy, cannot stand idly by any longer. She puts into motion a dangerous plan that will forever change Neverland.
And a reluctant Hook is enlisted for help, whose ancient weapon is the only weapon that can match Peter's.

Join a world filled with excitement, magic, mermaids, pirates, lights, camera, and action..uh..
Of course, you can't really join this world yet, but you CAN help make this world (and story) happen. If the idea interests you, go ahead and grab a perk, or at least help spread the word about the campaign: [Link]

Now, where's the teaser trailer, you might ask? Well, if you clicked on the link above, you would've seen it.
But, alas, I'm posting a different audio version here:

I hadn't worked on the audio in the official version, and because one constant complaint I received was regarding the audio work, I decided to put together a mockup for the audio that feels better.

I unfortunately had no access to the VOs and music tracks, so instead, I used on older, "cleaner" audio iteration that made it easier to layer sounds. The feedback on this was more positive, so I thought I'd share it here.

And if you're still reading this rather wordy post, here's something else that might be of interest. The current teaser actually is a second script. The first script was what I initially had conceptualized the visuals for. For those who are curious, you can take a look at how the trailer was looking based on the first script:

As you can see, it had different music tracks, VOs, and timing (and font). Also, the visuals of Tynk's wings, Peter Pan's sword, and Hook's.. hook were originally made to correlate with the VOs. This correlation sadly got lost with the new script, but sometimes, things just don't go as planned.

Okay, that's all for now. Until next time!
